We are seeking nominations (including self-nominations) for the editor-in-chief position for the journal Social Psychology. The new editor-in-chief's term will begin in September 2024. The editor or editors (the appointment of two or three joint editors-in-chief is an option) will enjoy full editorial independence and will be responsible for the scientific content of the journal, which appears in six online issues per annual volume. Social Psychology publishes innovative and methodologically sound research and serves as an international forum for scientific discussion and debate in the field of social psychology. Topics include all basic social psychological research themes, methodological advances in social psychology, as well as research in applied fields of social psychology. The journal focuses on original empirical contributions to social psychological research, but is open to theoretical articles, critical reviews, and replications of published research. Join us on Thursday, May 9th at 3:00 pm EST for our second free live webinar on the Early Sociocognitive Battery (ESB), Molly Ware, now with Hogrefe and formerly a NH school psychologist and Jennifer Warwick, a UK-based SLT will provide expert tips for using the ESB in your evaluation process. The ESB is a quick, 15-minute standardized assessment for children 18 months through 5 years that examines social responsiveness, joint attention, and symbolic comprehension. Predictive of later language and social communication difficulties that are often experienced by children who have been diagnosed with ASD, the ESB uses pretend play to understand the preschoolers’ communication challenges. This free webinar will help attendees:  - Understand the opportunities for using the ESB in the evaluation process; - Identify key administrative features for each subtest; - Through videos, analyze behaviors of children to determine the presence of developing social communication skills; and - Integrate observations with systematic scoring criteria to determine standardized scores.
